Wow! November 3 was a day I would never forget I had the best time of my life. On that day my class and I had went to go see an amazing musical called “ Wicked” in downtown Toronto. When Mrs. Thomas told the class that we were going to see the play Wicked in my head I was just like oh my gosh that musical seems so stupid I see the advertisements on the TV all the time. There I go again judging a book by its cover. But when MsThomas started telling us how good the musical is going to be, I'm just like you know what I want to go see it and open my eyes to a different type of world or singing dancing and acting. I'm glad I did open my eyes to that type of world because the Show was AMAZING!
Now before we actually went to go see the play we were given permissions forms, the price to see this musical is $70. Now a days I barely ask my parents for money because I always here my parents parents arguing about bill or just about money. So asking them for $ 70 just to go on this trip was really hard for me because of the stuff I hear them arguing about and on top of that I was in trouble with my dad. I was in trouble with my dad because I refuse to in my house by 3:25 to babby sit my 8 year old sister. That day I went to tell my about the trip and when I did she was like that's a bit pricey, but then she had asked me if I wanted to go and I said no. I had only said no because if my parents are arguing about bills and everything I thought $70 would be a lot to ask for and I was also thinking about my birthday that's coming up November 30 and what present I would want. So let’s fast forward a little it was one week before the trip and I still had not handed in my money yet and I barley even talk to my mom about the trip. But in class Mrs. Thomas was giving us one of her touching speeches that I just find so inspirational and powerful. While she was giving us her speech I started to cry because what she was saying was very touching. Now I remember breaking down when she had said “don’t you wish you could just help someone out and give them money if you found out that a kid in your class couldn’t go on the trip because their parents cant afford it” and she had said something else that also brought more tears in my eyes but I cant remember what she said. But her just saying what said was so true like sometimes my parents can’t afford the stuff that me and my bother and sister want so asking them for $70 was a very hard thing to do. Long story short my had talked to Mrs. Thomas and was telling her that she wants me to on the trip and my mom gave me a Post dated check on November 3. So that was my tribulation.
My adventure was me going downtown to the Eaton Centre and going shopping with Michelle, Eshe and Celeste. I had a really good time with them because all of us put together are some funny people. And we got to make some new grade 12 friends who were Justine and I find her very funny and nice her personality is very cool, and Princess T twin sister she is very nice and funny to.
The show Wicked was just amazing to me the singing was good the acting was good the whole thing just surprised me. The musical Wicked explores the concept that the Wicked Witch of the West, here known as Elphaba, was a misunderstood, victimized person whose behavior was merely a reaction against a charlatan wizard's corrupt government. It also shows her relationship with the beautiful and ambitious Galinda Upland, who ultimately becomes Glinda the Good Witch of the North. Through the show, their friendship struggles to endure extreme personality conflicts, opposing viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, and Elphaba's eventual fall from grace. If I could I would see this musical again and it was by far the best musical I have ever seen.
